Data Deletion

Last updated September 9, 2026

You can delete your data from Skedwave at any time. This page explains every way to do it and what happens after you ask.

Delete a single post

Open your calendar, select the scheduled post, and choose Delete. The post, its caption, and uploaded media that no other post uses are removed from our storage. If cleanup fails, we report an error and retain the references needed for you to retry Delete. Posts that have already published stay on the social platform, so remove those from the platform itself.

Disconnect a social account

Go to Accounts in your dashboard and choose Disconnect on any connected profile. We delete its stored publishing tokens first and make a best-effort request to revoke the grant at the platform. We then remove its connection details, posts, and media that no other post uses. If cleanup cannot finish, we report an error and retain the records needed to retry Disconnect; we do not report deletion as complete. A publish already in progress may need to finish before cleanup can complete.

Delete your whole account

Email us at support@skedwave.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We remove your profile, your connected account tokens, your uploaded videos, your scheduled and draft posts, and your posting history. We complete these requests within 30 days and email you when it is done.

Remove Skedwave from the platform side

You can also cut off access from the platform itself, which works even if you never sign in to Skedwave again.

  • Facebook: open Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations, select Skedwave, and choose Remove.
  • Instagram: open Settings, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites, and remove Skedwave.
  • Threads: open Settings, then Account, then Website permissions, and remove Skedwave.
  • TikTok: open Settings and privacy, then Security and permissions, then Manage app permissions, and remove Skedwave.

Revoking access prevents new authorized requests with the revoked grant; an operation already in progress may still finish. Facebook, Instagram, and Threads also send Skedwave signed callbacks. When we receive a valid callback, we remove the matching publishing tokens and clean up the connection, posts, and unused media. A deletion confirmation is issued only after cleanup succeeds. If cleanup fails, the callback returns an error so it can be retried. If a callback is delayed, or for TikTok, use Disconnect in Skedwave or send the deletion request described above.

What we keep

After deletion we keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as billing and tax records for completed payments. These records do not include your videos, your captions, or your social account tokens.
